Hiya! I’m Karissa.
Let’s get something out of the way: I don’t claim to be a “nutritional ninja”. I don’t know it all and I’m by no means perfect, just ask the cookies I may or may not have eaten earlier. But I can tell you this…clean eating has completely changed my life. I have less anxiety (can I get an amen!), my IBS symptoms have almost completely disappeared, and I feel better all around. Because of those highly important facts I wanted to start this blog to bring those same feelings to you, lovely reader. Want to read more of my story? Come on over!
The Recipes
The recipes here don’t subscribe to one particular eating style. My version of “clean eating” consists of mainly real whole foods with the occasional minimally processed (5 real food ingredients or less) treat tossed in (because potato chips, am I right?).
I do my best to categorize all my recipes based on the different “diets” (read lifestyles) they may fall into to make it as easy as possible to narrow down the recipes if you stick to a particular lifestyle. If you’re like me and just like real good real food, no shame, all the food is delicious and given the thumbs up by the man of the house.
The Community
Healthy eating really takes a community. There is nothing harder that having no one to talk to about your successes (and failures) on the healthy eating front. I really want Honeycomb Market to be the place people come to get that boost of confidence and will power to keep at it! I’ve compiled a list of peoples clean eating stories to inspire you (some of them also have some pretty great blogs themselves) and I definitely urge you to come participate in the Honeycomb Market Facebook Group, share your story, make a friend, or even get an accountability partner!
